Bukky Foundation was established in memory of Olubukoye “Bukky” Abidoye by his eldest son, Michael Abidoye Jnr. Bukky passed away suddenly on 30th January 2019 at the age of 46, leaving behind his wife, children, siblings, extended family, and a grieving community in Wexford, Ireland, and beyond. His untimely death from a sudden heart attack was a profound shock to all who knew him. Bukky was a deeply loved and respected individual a devoted father, friend, coach, and leader. He made a significant impact on the Wexford community as the County Wexford Team Leader and Manager for the Community Games in athletics, where his sons Michael, Raphael, and Eureal competed and proudly represented Wexford at the All-Ireland National Finals. Beyond his dedication to community sports, Bukky was a highly accomplished chartered accountant, running his own accounting firm both in Ireland and in his home country, Nigeria. He was a man of purpose, passion, and kindness, teaching his children and the youth he mentored to pursue their goals with determination and integrity. His legacy of selflessness and support for others lives on through Bukky Foundations.

Bukky Foundations is dedicated to honouring Bukky’s life and the positive influence he had on those around him. Our mission is to support families who have experienced the sudden loss of a loved one and to provide assistance to single parent families struggling to cope with such a loss.

We aim to create a supportive community where families affected by sudden death can find the resources, guidance, and strength to rebuild their lives.

In the loving memory of Olubukoye “Bukky” Abidoye, we established the Bukky Foundation a charity dedicated to supporting families who have experienced the sudden loss of a loved one.
